Ron HeyerRon Heyer wears two herpetological hats. He is Curator of Amphibians and Reptiles, National Museum of Natural History, Smithsonian Institution. His current research interest is to learn everything there is to know about the Neotropical frog genus Leptodactylus, the most important group of organisms on the face of the earth. The second herpetological hat is serving as Chair of the Declining Amphibian Populations Task Force, which needs as much help (gathering data as well as financial) as possible.
