Samuel's baobabs
I am sending to you an attached
file with a picture of one of my two seedlings. There is not too much to see.
This seedling is just two years old. Guess it will need a lot of training during the
next 20 years.

The picture on the left was take
during late spring 2002. The picture on the right is of the same tree sometime during
October 2003. In this picture you can see how many branches possesses this tree right now.
Guess next year will be much more branches and I will start choosing which ones to remove.
I have seen some baobab bonsai and wild baobab, and have noticed two things:
a) most baobabs do not have lateral branches, and b) they lack tapper.
As you can see, this tree have lots of lateral branches and the trunk does have tapper.
This baobab is starting to look like a Japanese evergreen. Of course I
would like it to look more "natural". So, if you have any suggestions as to how
achieve this, please feel free to contact me, preferably thru
the BAOBAB group from Topica, where we can share the information
(for subscription see link below).
